Ignorance

"Ignorance is NOT bliss"

I heard of a very intelligent man who died because of an ingrown toenail that got infected.
I have seen people convince themselves that "out of sight is out of mind"

Ignorance:  The condition of being uneducated, unaware of uninformed.

Apathy: lack of interest or concern, indifference

Passive:  lacking in energy or will

These 3 words seem to go together.

I was having a conversation with a young man today and we were speaking as to how these words seem to be a description of the average young male growing up today.  I wonder why?

What is happening that we can so easily overlook the need to work, pay attention or even care?  Could it be  M.A?  (media addiction)
Hand held whatevers have taken over our world and we are finding it harder and harder to put them down and do anything else.

How about trying a day of Media/Technology fasting? Put your phone down, turn the tv off and don't pick up a game.  Shut off the radio and dont read the newspapers.   Look around you, stand up and take notice.  Are there things around you that need to be tended to?  Better yet are there people who need your undivided attention?

I would like to hear some feed back from any daring souls who will try to sensitize themselves once more to the ways of the Lord in the "life" happening around them.

Blessings!

  1. Good morning!
I am amazed that you had women over last night and still are able to write and challenge so well. God is so good.
It is so fitting for the time we live. Gary and I have had to cut back as he was laid off in mid Dec. The first place
we cut was our TV subscriber. This has saved us significantly, but given us a great perspective on the time we waste
just zoning. We have actually put aside time to talk and connect. We still could use a little change from time on the computer,
however we are purposing to put it aside and spend time enjoying the blessing of a peaceful evening just reading and doing our studies together.
    It is an interesting journey.
