Dave Wilkerson's Final Blog Dated the day of his death April 27, 2011

To believe when all means fail is exceedingly pleasing to God and is most acceptable. Jesus said to Thomas, “You have believed because you have seen, but blessed are those that do believe and have not seen” (John 20:29).
Blessed are those who believe when there is no evidence of an answer to prayer—who trust beyond hope when all means have failed.
Someone has come to the place of hopelessness—the end of hope—the end of all means. A loved one is facing death and doctors give no hope. Death seems inevitable. Hope is gone. The miracle prayed for is not happening.
That is when Satan’s hordes come to attack your mind with fear, anger, overwhelming questions: “Where is your God now? You prayed until you had no tears left. You fasted. You stood on promises. You trusted.”
Blasphemous thoughts will be injected into your mind: “Prayer failed. Faith failed. Don’t quit on God—just do not trust him anymore. It doesn’t pay!”
Even questioning God’s existence will be injected into your mind. These have been the devices of Satan for centuries. Some of the godliest men and women who ever lived were under such demonic attacks.
To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nights—and in that darkness you will soon hear the Father whisper, “I am with you. I cannot tell you why right now, but one day it will all make sense. You will see it was all part of my plan. It was no accident. It was no failure on your part. Hold fast. Let me embrace you in your hour of pain.”
Beloved, God has never failed to act but in goodness and love. When all means fail—his love prevails. Hold fast to your faith. Stand fast in his Word. There is no other hope in this world.

*****I encourage you to also read his last prophetic "URGENT MESSAGE" that he sent out in March of 2009

HE will carry you! Always has Always will!

Their is no problem too big God cannot solve it
Their is no mountain too tall he cannot move it
Their is no storm too dark God cannot calm it
Their is no sorrow too deep he cannot sooth it

CHORUS:
If he carried the weight of the world up on his shoulders
I know my brother that he will carry you
If he carried the weight of the world up on his shoulders
I know my sister that he will carry you

He said
Come unto me, all who are weary--y
And I will give you rest

Their is no problem too big God cannot solve it
Their is no mountain too tall he cannot move it
Their is no storm too dark God cannot calm it
Their is no sorrow too deep he cannot sooth it

CHORUS:
If he carried the weight of the world up on his shoulders
I know my brother that he will carry you
If he carried the weight of the world up on his shoulders
I know my sister that he will carry you,

If he carried the weight of the world up on his shoulders
I know my brother that he will carry you
If he carried the weight of the world up on his shoulders
I know my sister that he will carry you,
he will carry you
he will carry you

Trust and Obey

Years ago when a crisis hit our family I remember the Lord speaking directly to me.  He said, " Do not go by what your eyes see or by what your ears hear,  I'M doing a work"
Like all the words I receive they last long past the "crisis" at hand and also in a few sentences a book can seemingly be written.
We must believe that He is sufficient!  That His promises are enough!  The old song says "Trust and obey, there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey"
HE IS SO GOOD.   He cares.  He guides.  We are not EVER in this alone.
Remember  in Job 23 it says "He sees the way that I take and when He has tried me I shall come forth as gold". There is a plan that has been established over your life, don't strain against it but discipline yourself to trust Him more each day ~ you cannot go wrong!

He LIVES!!

I serve a risen Saviour,
He's in the world today;
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him
He's always near.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives
today!
He walks with me and He talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, He live, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within my heart.

In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
And tho my heart grows weary
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading
Thro' all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The hope of all who seek Him,
The help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.

Perspective

A year ago I found myself fretting over a coming change in my financial picture.  My worry was gaining speed as I tried to figure out what to do next.

I heard the Lord.  "Your perspective is off"  " Do you have food in your fridge, lights on and bills paid etc...?"
  Yes Lord.
"Do you really think that " **** "  is your provider?"
 No Lord
"Why are you worrying?"
The scripture plainly speaks that we are not to worry and that He holds us.  Think of the birds of the air, IT says.....They don't toil or worry yet our Heavenly Father takes care of their needs...How much more will He care for you...?

Brother,  Sister..
Are you trusting HIM?     Do you believe the scriptures?  Can you walk in faith, believing?
Take control of your mind...it is the war zone where many battles wage.  Win this one!
He is ABLE
HE WILL PROVIDE ~ HE WILL MAKE A WAY WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY!

Blessings!

Tent Pegs

If someone knocked at your door today and asked if you could be ready to move immediately because the Lord had an assignment.....Would you be able to?

I guess the question really is  "How deep are your tent pegs?"   If you have ever camped out you know that tents can come up easy or they can come up hard.  We all know in our heads that the stuff around us is staying here but do you ever wonder how much of what you own really OWNS you?

Father, in the sweet name of Jesus, we come.  We ask for Your help and grace to hold lightly the things of this earth.  It is difficult.  We live here, we work, have families and go about our business and Yours.
I think that many times our "tent pegs" have gotten hammered in  too deeply.  We are not easily moved, not only physically but mentally and spiritually as well.  Lord,  thank you for Your grace and mercy as You once again teach us Your ways and enable us to walk this time here on earth with a distinct view and reminder of our Heavenly Home.  We long for You but at the same time are so easily caught up here.  Forgive us Lord for becoming so "earth bound", we dedicate ourselves and our ways to You once more.  Please make us moveable!
Love,
Your pilgrim.

The Offensive non-believer

I have often wondered about this phrase and find it interesting to see how many Christians are offended and/or intimidated by their unchurched neighbor, work partner, family member etc.

Why do we get nervous in their presence?  Are we worried that their ways  will rub off on us? Why is our patience level so low?  Do we feel the need to enter a debate each and every time we talk with them or try to "wow" them with our new found "righteousness"?

People!   They were us!!!   We were them!!
There simply should be no problem here.
If we are secure in our salvation we certainly don't need to worry that we will "catch" something.
They  simply are in need of a Savior! The Lord loves them!   "They" are one step away from becoming "us"!   What good news!!

If you were miraculously cured of cancer, I dare say that  you would be speaking about the remedy to everyone you would meet..

Christ died for us.....WHILE WE WERE SINNERS!

Today...let's try just being neighborly and loving people to the Lord!!

Such a comforting thought!

Psalm 31:15
My times are in your hands... NIV

What a profound and blessed revelation – that God has absolute control over all the times in our lives. God is the only one in the universe that totally controls time. This is beautifully demonstrated in the heavenly bodies. Countless millions and millions of stars move around in the universe with absolute precision. Isaiah the prophet says that the Lord calls every one of them forth by name and they are all present, not one is wanting.

The sun never rises late or sets early. Astronomers can calculate the exact place of every heavenly body in the remote past, in the distant future. God has absolute control over time and what David realized when he uttered those words is this: that God has absolute control over the times in our lives. He’s never late. He’s never premature. He has a time for every situation, every circumstance. If we will just commit our lives totally into His hands, we’ll find that our times are in His hands. What a relief from pressure, from strain, to know that God has control over the time element in our lives. Our times are in God’s hands. - Derek Prince

Are you growing up?

When you accept Christ as Savior, sometimes it's called a New Birth.  As with a baby, growth is watched for and expected almost immediately, a steady ongoing process,  one hurdle on to another.  It is a good thing and there is automatic concern if a child does not reach his/her milestone somewhere near the typical age.

Unfortunately we do not seem as diligent in the watch and care of the new Christian.  All of a sudden it becomes "none of our business", a private matter.
Many "babies" are lost for lack of care.
Come along side that "new one". Encourage, teach and love them to health and strength in the Lord.   We, the body, need to be connected and invested in the on-going work of Christ in each other.   We need each other....the deposit of Christ must be watered and tended to so that the new convert can grow to the potential that the Lord has for them.  Whether you are the tender or the tended to..... Please do your part..It is vitally important!

"We are His hands, We are His feet, We are His people, Children of the Lord.
We share the hopes, we share the dreams, believers in Jesus, Children of the King.
Some of us build and some are teachers, some can sing like angels,
But all of us can love as He loved pure and simple LOVE ONE ANOTHER."

Scribbles between the lines

Having walked with the Lord almost 50 years... I have read and poured over quite a few different Bibles.  These old, raggedy books are dear to me and seem almost like a diary of my walk with the Lord.  I am a marker, a scribbler, a note taker and my Bibles tend to be marked up alot.  Quotes from sermons, preachers, and other references are scrawled in the margins and at the ends of chapters.  It's like pouring over yellowed letters from an old friend...

Let me share a scribble or 2  with you today...

A Sermon on Lying:
A minister told his congregation ," Next week I am going to preach on the sin of lying.  To help you understand I want you all to read Mark 17".
The following Sunday, as he prepared to deliver his sermon, the minister asked for a show of hands.  He asked how many had read Mark 17.  Every hand went up.  He smiled and said "Mark has only sixteen chapters.  I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of lying " :)

God's delays are not His denials
God is never in a hurry in the preparation of His saints
Never doubt in the dark what you received in the light

HE's Watching for YOU!

He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
“Son do you know I still love you?”
He caught me by surprise when God ran

At Your Service

The phone rang.  I listened as the person spoke of concerns and stresses.  I hung up determining immediately that I needed to make a phone call, write a note or make a visit (concerning the matter).
As I stood there I heard "shhhhhh shhhhh"  "Did I ask you to get involved in this?  Lay it down...I want you to be available to Me for the things I have for you to do"

I walked away thankful again for the lessons of the Lord.

Have you gotten yourself into situations that He did not direct you?
We were bought with a price.  We are not our own.
Seek the Lord for HIS directions for your life.  Don't go it alone.  We just tend to prolong agony, stir up trouble and go where we are not welcomed.
Father have YOUR way in my life today.  Keep me focused on You and please help me to stay at Your service alone.

Blessings!

It's a DONE deal!

I will change your name,
You shall no longer be called
Wounded, outcast, lonely or afraid.
I will change your name,
Your new name shall be
Confidence, joyfulness, overcoming one,
Faithfulness, friend of God,
One who seeks My face.
Look in the mirror.  Yes, same old you with a brand new name!  The hardest part is done now to just believe it!  You are  no longer an orphan and your Father has called you by a new name!  Don't let anyone say differently!

Counting

"Are you heavy burdened with a load of care? Does your cross seems heavy you are called to bear?.
Count your many blessing, angels will attend, help and comfort give you till your journey's end"

"It's time to count your blessings! Name them one by one!  Count your many blessings and see what God has done!"

How easy it is for us to dip down into the doldrums.  Woe is me...life is hard... times are tough, the world is falling apart...
This is NOT the language of the child of God.  James 1:2+3 says we are to count it ALL JOY (the good, bad and ugly) .... I will repeat it again ~ ALL ~ no exceptions.  If it came our way the Lord has allowed it.  We don't have to understand it we only need to  believe HIM and call on His grace to get us through.

Determine today to COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS.  Start before your feet hit the floor and finish as you crawl into bed.

The enemy is going to cringe!

He has a Name for You

A few weeks ago I attended at Cultural Awareness event in a nearby church.  I went to a class on how to relate to the homosexual in the family, workplace etc...

As each person shared their story, one imparticular stood out. A gentleman told of the struggle that he and his wife were having over their niece of 20 years deciding to become a nephew. Even as he shared he stumbled back and forth over the pronouns and the new name vs. the name he had always used for her.  The relationship became very tenuous as the young person felt that they were calling "him" the wrong name on purpose etc.  It was/is indeed a difficult situation.
As people continued to talk I felt a stirring in my spirit as a conversation began to formulate in my mind.  It went something like this:

"I'm sorry  for the upset in our relationship.  I apologize for any offense that we may of caused during this  difficult change.  It simply is an awkward  time and habits are not easily changed.  So from now on we have decided  that we are going to call you "Sweetheart".
Then I heard the verse "While we were yet sinners Christ died for us" Romans 5:8  I knew the Lord was speaking.

What a God we serve.

In our most sin filled state, broken, stubborn and rebellious  HE saw us and called us SWEETHEART.   How awesome is that!  HE looked past it all and loved with an unconditional love.

Dare we do anything less?
Today let's ask the Lord to fill us with HIS LOVE for the lost...that we would join Him and call them "Sweetheart".

Jesus Loves Me this I know

for the Bible tells me so!

That's good BUT there's more!

I fear that many "Christians" have had an introduction but have never gotten to really know HIM.
How personal is your relationship with Jesus?  Are you on a first name basis?
Do you talk with Him regularly ?

Rate your relationship:
1 an introduction, I would recognize him if I saw a picture
2 We have chatted a few times and  I like visiting with Him on the holidays.
3 I knock on His door when I have a serious issue, need,  sickness etc(I don't want to bother him with the small stuff)
4 I get nervous thinking He may want to take me deeper than I want to go and that  He will ask me to go/do things that I am not comfortable with.
5 I don't think that He could possible want to hang with me  I've been kind of bad
6 He's one of my best friends and I call on Him after I've called my other friends
7 I talk to Him when no one else is listening...I don't want to look like a fanatic.
8 I read His letter to me often and am getting to know Him more and more
9 I go to sleep with Him and wake up with Him
10 I cannot imagine life with out Him "He is the air I breath"

Ok now you know...It's on the table.
I will leave you with one certain thing.
HE LOVES AND WANTS ALL OF YOU!
He sent His son so that you could come sit with Him!
He loves you with an everlasting love.
Take a minute, come before Him and tell Him you want to know Him better.  The scriptures say in James 4:8 " If you draw near to Me I will draw neat to You!"

Tattooed Feet

A few years ago my girls had simultaneous ( one in Boston the other in NY)  experiences with the Lord where He impressed on them that He was raising up a  "barefoot"generation.   They were reminded of the story of Moses and the burning bush where God spoke and told him to take off his sandals as he was standing on holy ground.  The Lord spoke that because the Holy Spirit resides within them that wherever they walked as well, was Holy Ground.

They had their feet tattooed with those words (Holy Ground) in Aramaic and Hebrew as a visible remembrance that they are "carriers" of the Spirit of God.

Do you believe that the Holy Spirit travels with you?
Do you take advantage of  His power that resides within?
Consider where your feet take you.   Holy ground....the Lord is wanting to take back what was originally His.  Walk in His power and might and seize the land!  You stand on Holy Ground
