A Visual From Heaven ~

While talking with my friend Anita Perry today, we were sharing about the season that we are living in, how exciting it is and the fact that we are seeing and hearing things that we have never experienced before.

I would like to share  a story that she told me :

" I have never seen a time like this have you ?  One time the Lord gave me a visual of how the anointing was going to increase in the days to come.  He had me go outside and make a snowball.  At first it was hardly going anywhere but He asked me to go to the side of my house where there is a slight decline ( not a hill)  He instructed me to take my snowball and tap it towards the decline.  Within seconds the snowball was SO big that my son and I together could not move it!  It was literally crying and laughing at the same time.  What an amazing visual!
He said that the anointing was going to increase in unprecedented proportions, not one plus one anymore.
Marnie I actually think that we are living in this time. I am in awe EVERY day!"

"It was funny because when I first went outside the sun had beaten down the snow and it had crusted over a bit and when I tried to move the snowball and ti wasn't going anywhere I was laughing with the Lord and said: "work with me here, I thought You were going to show me something!  It was a time that the Lord and I were laughing together.  BOY did He ever show me!  I am not exaggerating when I say the ball must have been three feet across in just a matter of seconds!"

This blessed me so much as I have no doubt that the Lord was showing her something and to think we are a part of it!
Seek the Lord while He may be found ~

What Do You "Hear" Like?

Oh we know what you "look" like but what do you "hear" like?

How is your speech seasoned?

Years ago I knew a couple who said their little boy was born with a hot pepper in his mouth.  What would people say about you?

The Scripture plainly says that the tongue is the smallest yet hardest part of the body to control.  With all the stuff being thrown at us day in and day out it is easy to get lax in our speech.

THIS IS IMPORTANT.
God cares.
We carry His Name.
We are His Ambassadors.

Does our speech change depending on who we are speaking to?  Do you ever find your self saying " forgive my french" or " excuse my language"?

Proverbs 21:23
Eph 4:29
Ps 34:13
James 1:26
1Peter 3:10
Proverbs 18:21
Ps 141:3
James 3:10
Proverbs 10:19
Ps 37:30
James 3:11
Titus 3:2
Matthew 15:11

I was going to write these out but I think it would be a GREAT EXERCISE to get out THE BOOK, russel the pages and look these "God Words" up. Write them down. Contemplate on them .  Take it to heart and let the Lord speak, guide you and grace you to live in righteousness.

1 Corinthians 5:5

Sometimes we just have to let someone "go"

You may have a (Christian) friend, family member or acquaintance who is stuck in a pattern of sin.

You have prayed, counseled, spoken, preached and badgered ~ to no avail.

This one does not mind talking about his/her problems ( in fact may be contacting you on a regular basis with his/her issues) and is probably in a state of conviction.
But they are just not willing or seeming able to follow thru in obedience.
You find yourself in a place where you are beginning to "wear" their issues and stuff.  You are troubled, irritated, frustrated and weary ~

Verse 5 of 1 Corinthians 5 is a hard verse for us to swallow.
"hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord."

I have actually not only had to do this but have seen it "work" in a person's life to bring them back into obedience.  Sometimes it is a long haul ~  sometimes it happens quicker.

There is something about losing a friendship, a congregation or a confidant that can shake one to their core.  When one is told that they are no longer allowed to come over, will not have their calls answered and is distanced it has a way of "getting their attention"

It's not only hard for the one in sin but for the boundary maker himself.

You must believe a few  things:
1 God loves this person with an everlasting love
2 God can go and do what you cannot.
3. The Holy Spirit has a wonderful way of getting some one's attention by allowing them to be miserable in their sin.

Pray and ask if it's time.
Ask for the words and opportunity to deliver the "word" and then pull back.
 This is not mean.
This is a tactic of the Lord, that we get out of the way and let the Lord do what He does best.
Sin puts one in the "unprotected area" thus they are in a sense "handed over to satan"  for the destruction of the flesh ( the rebellious stance)

We have become soft on sin and have become desensitized to the cancer that it grows.  The Lord will guide for, beloved, the Lord desires health and growth in His body not stagnant, unchanging lives.

Come Let Us Reason

Spent a few hours this evening getting on the "same page" with a friend.

Isaiah 1:18

Come let us reason together that's what God said.
Thought your sins be as scarlet
they shall be as white as snow
Though they be red like crimson
They shall be as wool

Come let us reason together, that's what God said

Friends.  This is the heart of the Father ~  that His children get a long.
We do not cast blame ~ we look at ourselves
We do not wait for an apology ~ we take the first step
We do not shun our brother or sister ~ we welcome them as friend
We do not think more highly of ourselves ~ we prefer one another.

Please,  Come let us reason together for that's what God says

He's Licking His Lips!

Yes I think Gabriel is getting ready!
The horn is by his side ready for a moments notice.
Truly he does not know the day or the hour but I think he is seeing all of heaven on edge as Christ gets ready for His Bride.

Are you ready?
Don't put it off any longer, friend.   "Search your heart and see if there is any unclean thing in you"   Psalm 139:2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aoNSjDCEgo

He comes for a Bride who is without a spot or wrinkle.  Remember He calls us to "work with Him".  As His Spirit prompts you in your ways, choose obedience for the way is narrow and few will find it.  Matthew 7:14

"Encourage one another as you see the day approaching..."

A Little Zap to the Throat

Chatting with a friend today she told me that she had purchased a collar for her new puppy that gives a low voltage zap to the dog's throat/neck every time he barks.   The man next door to them had his dog out fetching a stick in the water and the young pup ran quickly to the waters edge, body shaking and barked.....ouch!  Well that was a "shock"    Amazingly enough he did not bark again and learned very quickly.

What a great invention!

I wish I could buy one for myself.  There would be times when I would like to wear it knowing that it would be a good reminder to keep quiet.  Who wants pain?   Not me.

But alas we are left to our own selves.  Prayerfully we learn from our experiences and as we mature we should be getting  a "grip" on our speech.

The Lord can help.
Dedicate your mouth and speech to Him again today.  Rarely does one make a mistake by being quiet.
Try it ~  I bet you can do it!!

Luke 6:24
Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
James 3
Taming the tongue
Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to you Oh God

We Don't Go Alone

HE promises to go with us.

HE says there is NOWHERE that we can go that HIS love cannot find us.
HE says that HE will "leave"  the 99 to go find the ONE

HE says that HE will NEVER leave us or forsake us.

But Friend ~
What HE really wants ~
is not to only "go with you"
He wants to CHANGE you!
For in the "changing" He is seen.

"It is no longer I ~ but Christ who dwells in me" Galatians 2:20

Excuse me but you look vaguely familiar!
Exodus 33
15 Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”

Disagreement

I was part of an interesting conversation today.

I listened to a dialog between two women who questioned as to whether the Holy Spirit had been working thru each other in a specific meeting.  They both held their stance.  It got a tad tense.

I watched as one left the room and then came back.

I waited and saw the Holy Spirit  move with His great grace and mercy and bring the whole situation around to forgiveness and sisterly love.  Both laid down their positions and submitted to one another.

Beautiful.

Later as we went to our cars one said to me that when she was in the ladies room she had decided she was just gong to leave  and not come back to the table.
The Lord spoke to her and said "No you are not that kind of person anymore, I have changed you"
She "came around" and came back.
This is VICTORY.
She got rid of the "worm"** and followed thru as the Lord gave her strength.

Today I believe with ALL MY HEART that ground was taken back from the enemy.  I believe that this was bigger than it seemed.  The enemy hates defeat and he was defeated today.

YOU GO GIRLS!

There is great delight in the Lord's heart today as His daughters chose the right path.   God is good and the Holy Spirit is alive and well among His people!

1Corinthians 13:

1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

A Little Maggot

I received a call the other morning.  A friend was upset with me and felt I had overstepped a boundary.  I took it to heart, asked for forgiveness and prayed with her .  The conversation ended on a good note.

Later in the day, something began to squirm a little inside of me.  I began to hear echos of condemnation.  Then I found myself thinking that I really had not been "wrong" and  felt falsely accused .  All  afternoon I contended with this "worm"   This maggot that had squirmed its way in to my being, trying to unsettle me, to stir things up.

We need to be fully aware of this.
"It"  is contagious and like cancer will not be satisfied until it has "chewed" up every ounce of peace we have.
It can leave one confused. hurt and self conscious.  It will steal well being and cause suspicion.
Whether it is our enemy or our flesh really does not matter.  It is determined to steal our joy and keep things "stirred up".

Resist the devil and he will flee.  Don't pass this off as indigestion, stress or lack of rest.  Resist and continue to lay it at His feet.

The situation had been dealt with in the morning.  Said and Done.

History ~  now on to walking in obedience!

Shred the Resume

Did you realize that God is not really interested in what you can do?
He is not concerned whether you are equipped for the calling.

Basically He wants it to begin and end with Him.

He is not impressed with our resume.   We have all read Paul's recounting in  Philippians 3:8   where he says he counts everything "worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ.  For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ."

Paul, one of the most learned men,  scholar among scholars,  said he threw it all away so that he could know the Lord.

Bottom line is our "stuff" gets in the way much of the time.  We tend to think we know better.  We implement ideas and start ministries that God has neither ordained or wanted.  We run, plan, and start stuff, many times just to be doing something.

Beloved RELAX.
Take a break and look at your plate.  What's on it?  Stuff that you took on or things that the Lord gave you to do.  He truly wants to be that intimate with you.  He wants to direct your ways and open and shut doors for you.  He wants to be in charge!  Come before Him and sort it all out.  HE WILL direct and guide you if you come with a sincere, repentant heart.

Let Him!!   There is no need to fear..remember HE MADE YOU!
and He who began a good work will be faithful to bring it to completion!

Praying the Word

A quote from "somewhere"

"No prayer is more effective than the one that finds its roots in the pages of Gods Word."

Pray the Word.

When you are reading...pray it!

like this:

Father I thank you that You Who began a good work in _________ will be faithful to bring it to completion.
I am thankful that I can cast all my cares on You for You care for me!
Lord I lift my eyes to the hills from where my help comes from.
I am thankful that You will keep me from falling!
Lord I fear no evil for You are with me.
You know my every need and I thank You for Your plans to prosper me and give me a hope and a future.
I love that when I call out You are there to save me.
Your Word says that when I am weak You will be strong!  Be strong in me Lord!
etc etc etc

Read and Pray ......Pray and read...

Crying Out ~

Psalm 72:12-14

"He will rescue the poor when they cry to Him; He will help the oppressed when they have no one to defend them.  He feels pity for the weak and needy and He will rescue them.  He will redeem them from oppression and violence, for their lives are precious to Him."

Have you ever pondered what you could do in a certain situation. Maybe we have not offered prayer because the situation seemed so out of our power and sphere.

Friend ~  That is why we pray!
We have NOTHING to offer but Jesus.

HE will take care of the ones we pray for, the situations that we lift to Him.  He is faithful and wants no one to perish.  Trust Him today~  Offer Him to this lost and dying world.  He is always looking to heal, deliver, save and forgive.

Introduce Him today!

There's Going To Be a Wedding ~

The story of the 10 virgins and their lamps;

10 women were invited to a wedding
5 came bringing oil and their lamps
5 came with their lamps but with no oil.

When that day comes we will all enter heaven individually.
We will not be able to blame anyone for our lack of knowledge and experience (oil)
We will not be able to borrow or barter for oil. We must have our own.

I have heard people say that they need to think about it.  That they are not ready.  That they would do it closer to death.
Do you know when you are going to die?   It usually catches people by surprise just as the Lord's Coming will.

"I never knew you"  Wow what a horrible thing to hear.

The wise virgins had taken the time to get their oil, they were prepared and ready
The foolish were not prepared.  They thought they would still have time.

Friend, the scripture says "He will come as a thief in the night"
Prepare.  Make sure you know Him and that HE knows you.

False Satisfaction

I was musing the other night as to how we seem to gain a false satisfaction in holding on to an offense.
It's our right.
WE have been wronged  and the other person should not be allowed to get away with it.

So we  hold on tight.  We protect it, look at it often and put it in a prominent place.

We all know that if we let it go the offender will be off the hook.

WRONG THINKING!

The Lord reminded me that what I "bind" on earth will be bound in heaven. BUT if I can come to  the place to "loose" it to Him, He will pick it up and do and go where no man can.  FATHER knows best.  "Vengence is Mine says the Lord."

An offence has the ability to poison us and even dibilitate us.

Beloved give it to Him.  Honestly He will receive it, take care of it and heal you all at the same time.  Work with Him on this so that you can be whole and clean, lacking nothing.  Trust and believe.

"He Was Not"

The Scripture says that about Enoch

Genesis 5:24  "Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him"

How are you "not" ~ since you began your walk with God?

Prayerfully you are not
afraid
depressed
discouraged
destitute
hopeless
helpless
chained
stuck in a rut
worried
burdened with care ( to name a few)

Jesus' death on the cross did much more than just free us from sin and make a way to heaven.  It provides a way of living in freedom and all those phrases should not be a part of your vocabulary anymore.  If that is not the truth you are living below the standard that He bought for you.

You have been bought with a price  1 Corinthians 7:23  You no longer need to be slaves to these things.
Dig deep,  search out the promises and riches that He has for you.  There is no need to be afraid.  Step towards Him and He will meet you and help you live a life that is pleasing to Him and rewarding to you.

Brokenness

Forcibly separated into two or more pieces, fractured
Sundered by divorce, separation or desertion
Incomplete
Disordered
Discontinuous
Uneven
Humbled
Weakened and infirmed
Crushed by grief
Bankrupt
Out of Order

Have you ever felt broken? The Scripture says a "broken and contrite (crushed to powder) spirit who can bear?" Psalm 51:17

God is a healer. He who made you ~ can "fix" you. He can turn your life around. He can repair and mend. In fact He says "All things will work together for good for them who love God and are called according to His purpose" Romans 8:28

Can it get any better than that? What a promise.

So once again friend, you must choose to believe Him. Give yourself to Him today and ask that He take over and He will not only get you through what ever is going on BUT He will make you into something new and wonderful!

Can anyone say amen?

What Road Do You Take

You take the high road and I'll take the low road ....

I have decided that there is really only one road that the Christian should take;

It is the low road.

We apologize.  We defer. We prefer another over our self.  We bow, we go to the back of the line and we stay quiet.

Do you find this being worked into you?  There is NO way that you cannot know if this is at work......it kills!  It causes us to posture and prayerfully run for strength.   Jesus sweat drops of blood as he bowed to the will of His Father.

Remember, we are all in this together.  Pray for one another.  The characteristics of Christ are foreign to the world that we live in.  Let Him who began a good work in you be ABLE to bring it to completion by submitting to His teaching.

Take His peace

"When we are overwhelmed by our sins, You forgive them all."

What a promise.

Walk in this Word today.   Speak it out loud to the accuser, whether it is from within or without.

HE FORGIVES US!

HE LOVES US!

WE NEED NOT BE OVERWHELMED!

So stand back up and walk out your day in the Power of the One Who saved you!
His grace will be more than enough in any and all of your situations!

Remember HE LOVES YOU!

Stagnation

Stagnation

1.
the state or condition of stagnating or having stopped, asby ceasing to run or flow:
2.
a foulness or staleness, as one emanating from a standingpool of water.
3.
a failure to develop, progress, or advance:
4.
the state or quality of being or feeling sluggish and dull:

Are you stagnant?  Or perhaps a better question would be; are you "fresh", growing, vibrant, alive, changing, becoming more like HIM?

Once we have accepted the Lord's salvation and been forgiven of our sins, nothing should hold us back.  We should be changing and growing into His Likeness and Image.

2 Corinthians 12:9   ".....that the Power of Christ may rest upon me"

Colossians 1:28 "....so that we may present every man complete in Christ"

2 Corinthians 3:18   "From glory to glory He's changing me"

2 Peter 1:4  "the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires."

The Scripture says that His strength is made perfect in our weakness .  We are without excuse.  Change is ours, we just need to choose it!

Father, in Your precious Son's Name, we come and ask again for Your grace to change us.  Help us yield to Your ways.  Create in us a thirst for Your righteousness.  Stir us a fresh and a new that we may truly be changed.  Thank You for Your patience Lord.  May we set our eyes like flint upon You and You alone.
May the ones around us see You in us and be changed as well!

Amen

A Lovely Day in the Neighborhood

I sit this morning in a lovely home, in a lovely neighborhood, with all the amenities that I could ever need. The birds are singing, the weather is balmy and the sun shines bright.  All is good with the world.

Or is it?

In a book that I have been reading recently the report is that there are over 33 million people living in Uganda. The median age is 15 years old with the average age expectancy being 50 yrs old.  A "nation of young people"  The plague is AIDS.

A nation of young people who have no one to raise them, nurture them, educate them and/or disciple them.
And we all know that this is just a drop in the bucket.  The world is a mess ~ and that can include much of what is going on in our own nation.

2 Chronicles 16:9

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

1 Peter 3:12

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer...

Ps  33:18

The eyes of the Lord are on those that fear Him, He watches over them and guards them from danger.

Friends, please join me today praying for the k-zillions that are lost and in need of a Savior.  He is the answer for the world today!

So soak in the goodness of the Lord realizing that nothing is guaranteed but the Love of God
