Have you ever watched something through a pair of binoculars? Almost always there is a need for a focus adjustment. Your index finger moves back or forth a quarter of in inch and everything comes into focus. Amazing!
That little finger movement illustrates how easy it is to get off focus. Your day is going fine..You've spent time with the Lord, gotten the family headed in their respective directions and begun your day. While working, washing the floor, gardening, grocery shopping etc etc a nagging thought comes into your mind.... "You know everyone has a life but you..~. You really are not making a difference at all an ape could do your job.~ Did you realize you were not invited to_____, ~ so and so did not speak to you in church, ever notice that your sister is so much cuter, smarter, and more put together than you etc etc" Pick one or pick them all...whether they are from your subconscious or straight from the pit of hell, "they" all have the same potential; to render you powerless by taking your focus off of the Truth.
Jesus wants our eyes glued onto Him. Anywhere, one or anything else will not do. Those thoughts just seem to push us down that slippery slide and render us powerless.
Beloved THIS is why you need to know the Scripture. Psalm 119:11 :"Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee" Isaiah 26:3 : "He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Thee"
Remember my mantra? I memorized it to combat these things as soon as they come
"It really doesn't matter. I am in the very center of God's Hand. Nothing and I will repeat NOTHING can come into my sphere of life without HIM seeing it and having a reason for it. I am safe in my Fathers care."
Prepare yourself for battle! Think about it before hand and have your weapon ready. You cannot afford to be unfocused for even a minute. 1 Peter 5:8 : "Your enemy is like a prowling lion seeking whom he can devour"
Now on with your day!
Blessings!
Thank you sister. larrie
