Missed Placed People

As mom watched the throngs of people coming and going from the  mall she said, "look at all these misplaced people, most have no idea whether they are coming or going".
While on one hand that may sound a tad harsh, I responded with "one thing is sure mom, you and I can never be misplaced".

Did you realize that the very God of the universe, King of kings and Lord of lords, knows the exact spot where your body dwells at this very moment.  You are Never out of His sight!  
And even greater than this fact is He knows you "inside and out", not only physically but spiritually, emotionally  and every other way!  Before you were "knit" together in your mom's womb to the day you will join Him in Glory.... You Are Not a NoBody!!

You are HIS!!

It's Supernatural!

A young man told me a story tonite....He has been having a "hard time".   He has been trying to follow the Lord ..but not really successfully....yet better than before ( you know how that is)

Anyway, he has not had transportation in a long while and has had no money to make it happen...
Without transportation it is hard to keep a steady job etc etc

This past week he had looked into getting a small loan for a "beater" ~ something to get around in.  He found something and went back to get the promised loan only to find out it had fallen through.  He was so upset and downtrodden.

He tells how he was in his room just railing at God.  "What the heck Lord??"  "How am I supposed to make this happen?"   Again I surmise you know the lingo..

3 hours later there's a knock at the door.  
A man stands there.  
He says God has told him to buy a truck for this young man.  Now, mind you,  not just any old truck but a NICE one with a new snowplow!  
He tells how he argued with God about this command saying "I think ----- should have to work for his truck like we all have to"  The Lord's reply..."who got you your vehicle?  Was it not I that provided for you?"  The argument was finished and the man obeyed.  He handed over the keys and title to the sobbing young man ~ who just COULD NOT BELIEVE ~ that God, his Heavenly Father~ would do such a thing for him.

How cool is God????

Friend~   Its not when we have it all together.  Not when our tithe is on time and our ducks are all in a row*.   

Our Father loves us ~ just cause!!!  

We are His children and 

He JUST LOVES US!! 

period!

Thirsty??

I am not by nature a thirsty person. 

I believe  that I have just gotten used to being dehydrated.  With a little education and common sense as to how our body demands water to run efficiently, I now try to intentionally drink. I make a plan and before long  I actually find myself beginning to crave water.  It's interesting.

It so parallels with Bible reading in our lives.  There have been many seasons, over the past 50 years of knowing the Lord, where I have been dehydrated.  I went on my merry way ignoring the "need" and getting by.  Like getting your thirst quenched from a fruit or coffee etc   I believed that I was ok  with getting my spiritual hydration from a weekly  sermon, bible study and conversation.

Friends ~  I think it goes with out saying.  
You know and I know as Christians we MUST ingest the scripture!  On a regular basis we must intentionally begin to drink in the Words of God..  They have been given to us for a purpose!  Being away from the Scripture for very long again parallels with dehydration taking  its toll on a body.  We will be ok for a while and then symptoms will begin to set in, tiredness, irritability  and over all malaise  ~ JUST as with  the lack of Scripture reading ~ the same is true~

"Man cannot live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!" Luke 4:4

ps   I often pray that the Lord will fill me with a thirst for His Word.  He loves that prayer I think!!

Tonite I narrated for the church Christmas Musical.  Here are some of the words that were read from

Jesus there is no other!!

In The Way

Have you ever heard the statement "I keep getting in my way"?

Tonite that is how I feel.   I'm the problem.... I cannot place the blame anywhere else.  Even if I could..I can't
The ball is always in my court.  

Let's pray.

Lord you know me intimately.

I come to you and ask for deliverance from myself. 

 I want to be rid of my selfish ways.  

I want to love my neighbor more than myself.  

I want to respond the way that You would.

Give me the strength to discipline myself.

Help me Lord

I depend on Your Grace alone.  

I have nothing to give that is of any worth.  

Please grace me to receive Your Grace!  

I rely on You and You alone

The Savior's Party

The Saviors Party

I was invited to a party for the Savior
 but the Savior was no where around
I had readied with excitement and expectation
 but His name was rarely to be found

The guests were dressed in fine splendor
The decor was sparkling and bright
But not once did I catch a glimpse of Him...not once thruout the night

I listened for His name to be mentioned...I waited for Him to come on the floor
I had gone to celebrate a Savior Who for me .. My sin He had bore

The guests kept taking the spotlight
One or 2 mentioned His name
But not once during the night or the evening did any glory go to His name

The music was loud and raucous
The fanfare of dancing a sight BUT
I had gone to a party for the Savior?
 yet the Savior was no where in sight?

My Savior loves a party but a jealous God is He
And I know He waited with expectation
 for an invite to be freed

He would have arrived with royalty and splendor
The crowd would be awed by His might
But never was He asked to enter
Not once thru the loud excited night

Has His birthday been forgotten
Hidden by the tinsel and lights
Has the reason for his coming
gone out like a burnt candle's light

I came home confused and disillusioned
Wondering if I'd gotten it right
For I was sure that the cause was His birthday
That I had waited thruout the night

Emmanuel Emmanuel
You came
You watched
You saw
But I guess You really weren't invited
For no one seemed to mind at all

Lord forgive us for the limelight that we have taken for ourselves
And once again be merciful ....
For We've rejected You once more

We took Your birth as a time to party
forgetting the days ahead
 when we will call out for help and forgiveness
And wonder at the silence and dread

Our God is an awesome God for sure
But serious is He is as well
For He came to make a way for us to escape the coming hell

Peace

We can not pray for peace, talk about peace, wish for peace without DOING something about PEACE
As this song says...Let it begin with me
Please take some time to mull this over and then ask the Lord to grace you to walk in peace with your fellow man.
